Shipping
We require that you purchase
insurance when shipping your parts to us. We are not responsible for damage
caused during shipping.
Where do I
ship my parts to?
Our shipping
address is:
AirEffex Custom Paint
854 Baseline Place Unit D
Brighton, Colorado 80603
How do I
pack my parts?
You can get
shipping boxes from your local U-Haul or office supply store. Use sturdy
boxes for packing. Two boxes will usually be enough: One for fenders and one
for tanks.
Make sure all hardware is removed before packing. This
includes caps, gauges, wiring on tanks and inside fenders, grommets, etc...
Some fenders are very hard to tell front from back.
Therefore, please use a piece of tape to mark the front of your front
fender. Mark side covers as well (top, bottom, left, right).
Wrap your parts in bubble wrap then use styrofoam peanuts to
fill the box. Use the larger bubble wrap for your fenders and tank, and the
smaller bubble wrap for small items like side covers, emblems, dash cover,
etc...
For fiberglass fenders, make a prop for the inside of the
fender that will fill the underside of the fender from one side to the
other. This will prevent cracking or breaking if a heavy package is set on
top of your box during shipping.
If you are uncomfortable about packing your parts, you can
take your parts to your local packing supply store (i.e. Mail Boxes, etc...
- The UPS Store) and have them packed for you.
How should I
ship my parts to you?
Send your
parts to us using Fed Ex or UPS ground service. We recommend you purchase
insurance from the shipper.
How will my
parts be shipped back to me?
We will ship
your parts 2nd day unless you specifically request otherwise. We ship FedEx
or UPS. We require that the shipment be insured through the shipper. We will
give you the total on shipping and insurance with the final invoice.
How do you
pack the finished parts?
We take as
much care in shipping your parts as we do in the painting process to ensure
that your items arrive in perfect condition. We let the finished parts cure
for five days before shipping. The parts are then wrapped in a soft,
non-abrasive cloth and wrapped in bubble wrap. They are placed in sturdy
boxes which are then filled with foam to protect the parts completely during
shipment.
